Tommy Emmanuel
8:44 PM PST, 10/22/2008
Hello everyone, I've added another great guitar player to my list of who I've heard play live in person. I recently was lucky enough to see and hear three great guitar players at Bass Hall in Ft. Worth, Texas. Tommy Emmanuel, Monte Montgomery and Rhett Butler. All three were great but I was completely blown away by Tommy Emmanuel - what a performer - he gets so much music out of his guitar it is amazing to watch as well as hear. He has a new fan for life. Check him out on my favorite internet stomping ground Youtube.com Later, Jerry -
Monte Montgomery
7:43 PM PST, 2/10/2008
Hi everybody! Julie and I had the opportunity to see a fantastic guitar player this past weekend. Monte Montgomery played at the McDavid Studio in Ft. Worth. I've seen some great guitar players live in the past but Monte just blew me away! I am a fan for life and will be watching his website to see where he is playing in the future. He plays an Alvarez Guitar (with alot of effects) and man does he get some sounds out of it. Kind of like Stevie Ray Vaughn meets Eddie Van Halen and Tony Rice all rolled in to one. Besides being a great guitar player he is quite the vocalist and songrwriter as well. Check him out on youtube.com or www.montemontgomery.com Talk to you late, Jerry -

New Auctions
7:16 PM PST, 9/18/2007
Hello, Check out our new auctions. We have a Michael Kelly Phoenix bass with awesome flame inlays on the fretboard. We also have up for auction an Epiphone Limited Edition Les Paul Silverburst - what a sharp looking and playing guitar! Things here have been busy. We have had several companies approach us about becoming dealers for their guitars. For now we are going to stick with the refurbished guitars. We feel this gets quality guitars at low prices to guitar players who might not otherwise be able to afford guitars of this quality. Thanks to everyone out there who have supported our efforts here at BadAxe Guitars! And here is a special shout out to our number one fan and my favorite computer programmer Mark "BadCat" Sampson. Talk to you later, Jerry -

My First Guitar
8:26 PM PST, 5/18/2007
My first guitar was a Takamine F360 (Martin D-28 Lawsuit Model) that I still have and play today. I remember I had borrowed a Sears and Roebuck guitar from my cousin and was learning a few chords. I guess I was showing some promise and my parents decided to buy me a guitar. My Uncle played in a bluegrass band and one of the other pickers sold guitars. I came home one day and the man showed up with a guitar in a box. I remember that the guitar cost $100 bucks and my grandfather bought me a case -the case cost as much as the guitar. Again I still have both the case and guitar. Many times over the years when I was in my teens and early twenties when I didn't have the money to go and do - I always had my guitar and it gave me hours of companionship. So here I am today. I'm selling guitars. If you think I am in this for the money - think again. I want to be able to share with as many people possible that same feeling I had when I got my first guitar - or the guitar of my dreams (Les Paul)that I bought for my son a few years back. I love it when customers call or e-mail when their guitars come in telling me how excited they are about their guitars. Everybody is different - one guy gets excited over a Dot and another is crazy for a Gretsch. That is what makes this great big world go round. Till next time. - play on! Jerry -
